Us dressed up for a partyElizabeth is from Irving, NY (an hour south of Buffalo).  She went to the Eastman School of Music for a while, but decided that the world didn't need another professional clarinet player, so ended up graduating from Cornell University in 1994 with a degree in agricultural economics.

After moving to the Washington area, Elizabeth worked as a consultant in a variety of roles for various government clients.  She recently got her master's degree from Marymount University and now works for Booz Allen Hamilton, developing training programs for other various government clients.

In her free (?) time, Elizabeth studies Karate (she's a black belt!), teaches clarinet,  and buys things for her boyfriend (below).

Rick at a National's gameRick is from, well, a lot of places because his father was in the U.S. Air Force.  He graduated from high school in San Antonio, TX then went to Columbia University in New York, graduating in 1990 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Like many EE majors, Rick went into writing software and has worked in that field (more or less) ever since.  He moved into the D.C. area right after college, and bought a house in Reston, VA in 1997 (before the real estate boom!).

Currently Rick works for Platinum Solutions, a small (but growing fast) software company.  He is a "Senior Consultant" (that's what the business card says), which means he develops programs for the government.  "We write software that saves lives!"

In his free time, Rick apparently creates websites like this one.  Actually, he's better known for owning and flying a small airplane.   Most recently, his top hobby is hanging out with his girlfriend (above).
